Quake shambler by ABELOroz Quake shambler by ABELOroz
Never understood why they took all Quake sequels to that generic futuristic setting when they had that awesome mix of medieval dark ages, high-tech and Lovecraft mythos in the original one.

Today's sketch is a tribute to the best Quake game.

I know what you mean with the mixing of different types of atmosphere.  It would be awesome if id software would make another game that was set in or at least had some connection to the Quake 1 universe.

Wow, now that's a Shambler. I've seen various shamblers but this one is the only one that gives me a feeling of surrealism and unspeakable horror.

Too many details don't work well with Quake but this seems to be just enough to keep the original impression while suggesting even more (like the chains).

For a Quake fan, looking at the picture is almost like watching porn.Drool

the Shambler is one of my all time fav game monsters.
I would love if they remade quake as a survival horror shooter, the lovecraft elements would suit it

i think it was cause they wanted to make a completely different game in the future setting but couldn't get the rights to a new name or something, so they just had to use the same one. Also this picture is amazing

I still remember the first time I saw a shambler, at E1M5. That fear.

Awesome sketch. His mouth is terrifying :D
